ArtBase
Explore! Experiment! Create! Inspire!

ArtBase’s holiday workshops are run during school holidays at Henry’s Castle, Stratford upon Avon and The Croft Preparatory School. Each workshop is carefully planned to cater for ages 5-15 year olds. We devise projects so each child can create a wonderful piece of art whatever their age, to take home and treasure! Our workshops cover a wide range of techniques, styles, materials and also introduce children to other artists, both historical and contemporary. All staff are fully CRB checked and very experienced with children to ensure each child feels happy, relaxed and confident in their work. The price is £30 per day, which includes all materials. It also includes fully supervised play in Henry’s Castle during the day. Children will need to bring a packed lunch (no nuts) and wear something they (and you!) don’t mind getting messy – although we do of course provide aprons.

Playbox Theatre
Playbox Theatre
Playbox Theatre - The National Theatre for Young People

For 25 years Playbox Theatre has developed theatre for and with young people, placing at its heart young people as both artists and audience.

Based at our custom designed complex ‘The Dream Factory’ in Warwick, we develop the skills, talent and confidence of young people through exciting and innovative methods including theatre, movement, circus, multimedia and extraordinary live events.

Playbox reaches all ages, demographics and community through a very special programme of training, performance, enrichment through the arts and partnerships.

Young artists push boundaries; creating original work which reflects our age, our values, our debates, our concerns, our humour and most importantly our dreams. We state what we think theatre should be, not what others think or expect, we break taboos and challenge labels that young people just don’t want.

Our aspiration is to make new work, evoke a wild spirit and tackle new themes in original and moving ways.

Weekly acting and musical theatre classes are held in Warwick, Stratford upon Avon and Chipping Campden.

The Junior section has grown to a membership of over 300 with a team of 42 volunteers supporting it (and is still growing).

The club prides itself on promoting a supportive, family environment where young people feel welcomed and are encouraged to enjoy athletics. Stratford Upon Avon Sea Cadets
Stratford Sea Cadets give young people in Stratford Upon Avon and the surrounding area the opportunity to take part in exciting activities that aim not only to be good fun but also to develop core values of respect, loyalty, self discipline, commitment, honesty and integrity. During the summer we concentrate on water sports whilst in the winter the cadets follow a training programme covering land based activities such as seamanship, first aid and leadership.
Our qualified instructors guide our cadets so they can flourish safely in challenging situations, gain confidence whilst at the same time re-connecting with their maritime heritage. For some of our young people their Sea cadet experience will lead to a career in public services, hospitality or engineering - for others it is just the head start in life they need.
